The Return of the Updated Digitech DOD Pedals

Following the acquisition of Digitech/DOD last year, Cor-Tek announces the relaunch of 9 DOD models.

DOD was co-founded by John Johnson and David O. DiFrancesco (DOD) in Utah, emerging as “America’s Pedals” and introducing the concept of a boutique brand “designed for musicians by musicians”. The next revolution in guitar sound came with the explosion of digital signal processing (DSP), and DOD answered the call with the formation of the DigiTech brand, which has emerged as a leader in digital sound and effects.

2023 marks 10 years since the reintroduction of several DOD models, including the Overdrive Preamp 250. Based on the original circuitry, this updated version uses the correct vintage LM741 op-amp, just as it did in the 70s and like all new DOD pedals, come with state-of-the-art features, true bypass, blue LED for operation, lightweight aluminum chassis and power supply with optional adapter.

Read below to find out all about the new DOD models.

Overdrive Preamp 250

Distortion pedal for electric guitar. The legendary analogue overdrive preamp sound is back.

First conceived by David Oreste Defrancesco (DOD) in the 1970s as a way to achieve distortion and boost without any of the drawbacks that came with some of the fuzzes of the day. This updated version uses the correct vintage LM741 op-amp, just as it did in the 1970s.

Compresor 280

The 280 is an optical compressor that can go from light sustain to full compression just by turning the control. Unlike faster non-optical circuits, the 280 preserves high frequencies even in the most extreme settings. The 280 is great for picking chicken, adding sustain for solos or fast-paced funk rhythms.

The 280 also has enough output to be used as a boost with compressor sustain. Comp (compression) and Level (volume) controls. True diversion. Entrance exit. Blue status LED. 9V battery or optional adapter.

BIFET BOOST 410

Boost effect pedal for electric guitar. Loud and clear. The Bifet Boost 410 has the tone and volume to send your solos into orbit. It has a selectable Buffer On/Off.

When the buffer is activated, it is always activated, even if the pedal is in Bypass. When buffering is off, the pedal is True Bypass. It also gives you the flexibility to place the Bifet Boost anywhere in the effects chain.
